Zooing it

On Saturday, my girlfriend, her mom, her little brother, and her big brother and his girlfriend all went to the Toledo Zoo. Well her family has this running track record of cars just not working for them. And wouldn’t ya believe it, after stopping for breakfast and good ol’ Micky D’s, the car’s starter went out…who didn’t see that comeing. Good thing that Ronnie (her older brother), and his girlfriend had a car that they drove so Courtney and I went back to town and picked up another car and drove back to the MCD’s and we were on our way to the zoo. It was different being a passenger, but it was good to take a break from driving…just wish that I could do that more! But we got there and we looked through like the whole zoo and we had a lot of fun. We probably spent the most time looking at the Cheeteas. Ya see those are Courtney’s favorite animals and she didn’t wanna leave that spot…sooo, I just picked her up and moved her and then we were on our way again 🙂 But it was great being with Courtney and seeing all of the amimals. I know that I didn’t mention a lot of what happened cause I don’t want this post to be as long as my last one, cause that was a long post! Cya y’all later!

Well this past week I have been a little stressed from some things and this weekend helped me a lot. On Friday a few of us went to see Rob Bell, who was in Detriot at a little theater inside the “Hockeytown Cafe” that was called “The City”. The group of ten was: Pete and Barb, Marc and Tina, Matt and Annette, Kevin and Laura, Dad and I. Rob Bell was great!! I have watched a lot of his “NOOMA” videos, but seeing him in person was awesome and I am glad that I had to opportunity to go. Well I hadn’t been up to Detriot for a few years and I was fine until we started walking around downtown Detriot at like 10:00pm. We decided to eat at Greektown. Which wasn’t too bad seeming how we road the “People Mover.” Now that wasn’t that bad. **But before I go on with my story, I gotta say something funny that happened on the “People Mover.” Well there was this one family that was getting on (after we had already been on for a little while) and it was a group of like 6-10 people in the family. Well you could tell that they were not from Detriot, cause they all lined up like single file to get in ONE DOOR!!! NOW COME ON!! YOU CAN’T GET IN ONE DOOR ON THE “People Mover” WITH LIKE 10 PEOPLE!! HECK EVEN I KNEW THAT!!! Well like half of that family got on the “People Mover” and the rest were left to fend for themselves basically they were left behind 🙂 hey! remember the “aftershave face” from Home Alone?? Well the boy looked at his father then looked out the door with that face saying, “Umm Dad…now what do we do??” And let me tell ya, it was very funny from my point of view. Okay, back to my story** Well we got off the “People Mover” and headed to a place to eat. Well I am not one for crowds, especially ESPECIALLY, in Detriot! After we got done eating and started to go back to the “People Mover,” there were people EVERYWHERE!! Then this one guy came up to us and handed us a pamphlet (yes a “Let Jesus Chirst be Your Lord & Savior one) but I looked through it and I am amazed at the information that is in it and the accuracy of the info…I digress…but that still wasn’t too bad, cause ya just take it and walk away. Well after we got on the “People Mover” and got back off at our “stop” we hadn’t been off for like 5 seconds and some guy came up to us asking for 60 cents so he could buy a pop. Then not to long after that we had to walk past some club/concert thingy that was going on and we had to walk past a lot (about 5 or so) drunk guys, which I didn’t really like either. There was this one guy on the phone talking to someone, swearing and all of that, it wasn’t the best needless to say. But after that we got back to our cars in the parking garage and Kevin had a hard time getting out of the parking garage (which was funny). But it all in all it was great night and I am glad that I got to go.

What a night….

Well Monday night some of my girlfriends family was coming in from North Carolina. What a crazy bunch that was, let me tell ya! My girlfriends family is crazy anyways….but then again, who’s family isn’t really crazy at times. Oh just because your girlfriend tells you she wants you to come over becuase she wants to spend time with you, isn’t always 100% true. Ya see, she said that and actually she just wanted to get me with silly string, but here’s the kicker, 90% of what she sprayed actually went on her ’cause I got her to the ground and while she was holding the can, I held the button down and got it on her and only 10% of it got on me…which I happen to find kinda funny. 🙂 But they are all really good people and are all funny and weird (just like everyone else has their own funnyness and weirdness) and I guess all in all the night was pretty fun and I got to meet some of her family.

A new look for my blog

I decided that my blog has looked the same for too long and decided to change it. It has been silver for about six months or so now and it was time for some change. I hope you like it the top banner, I photoshoped it and I think it turned out pretty good. Enjoy!

This Sunday was awesome! We had a very rock n’ roll Sunday at Crossroads this week. First the band played “Over my head” by The Frey and then Eric (one of our lead singers) did a “loud prayer” (which was him praying over the band while they were still playing “Over my head”) and then they went into “I am free” which was rockin’. It’s a “call and answer” song and Eric got the congragation to sing back to him, then they went into “No One Like You” by David Crowder and with Pete on the light board, the first three songs were completely rock n’ roll. The last two songs were to settle everyone down and they did “It is You” and “Big Enough” by Chris Rice. I think that this was one of the best worship experiances that I have seen at Crossroads, it was really cool. Also, that video turned out really well too, I got a lot of people to laugh and things, so that was really cool.

Only eleven more days until its my blogs one year anniversary! sweetness!!!

Another first for me!

Today I did my first video. It was kinda exciting, actually. I got to edit our Carnival Promo Video for this Sunday. The clip is about three minutes long or so and it took me like five hours to edit it! Not to sound like poor me, but thats a long time to edit for such a short video. But it was really cool and exciting and can’t wait to see it on the big screen Sunday. Cya later!
